About the role:
As a HSE Apprentice, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring Parker Meggitt’s compliance with health, safety, and environment standards. You'll be at the forefront of arranging and coordinating internal and external audits, diligently ensuring the resolution of all identified actions and findings. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as they prioritise safety and environmental sustainability, and embark on a journey of learning and growth as an essential member of the HSE team.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Responsibility for HSE management system standard compliance including arranging, organising and complying with internal and external audits including ensuring close out of all actions and findings
- Preparing and delivering HSE training for employees
- Reporting and investigating incidents in a timely manner
- Providing internal and external reporting as appropriate for key HSE metrics and KPI’s
- Preparing (and where required delivering) site HSE briefings
- Collating all accident records and reporting any accidents reportable under the RIDDOR regs
- Issuing Unsafe Condition/Near Miss Report numbers and monitoring accident/incident database
- Assisting with HSE incident investigation reports as required

- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths
- The right to work in the UK
- Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course
- Left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start
About the apprenticeship…
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your Level 3 Safety, Health and Environment Technician Apprenticeship with a specified external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively. This apprenticeship duration is approximately 2 years in duration.
