About the role:
As a Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You’ll engage with Parker Meggitt’s valued customers via email and phone, managing their orders and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Additionally, you'll work closely with colleagues from various departments to resolve customer queries. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team where your contributions will be crucial in maintaining strong customer relationships and upholding Parker Meggitt’s reputation for excellent customer service.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Responding to various customer emails and phone calls to manage their orders and enquiries.
- Receiving, reviewing, and entering purchase orders
- Raising quotes and customer documentation, prioritizing workload to ensure the customer receives an excellent service at all times.
- Use SAP (or equivalent ERP system) product recognition to identify runner/repeater parts and what can be sold to the customer, as well as checking lead times.
- Producing costing sheets in collaboration with colleagues from Procurement, Demand Planning and Manufacturing departments as required in order to produce accurate quotes.
- Resolving customer complaints, which may include warranty, delivery, or quantity disputes, at the lowest level and in the most beneficial manner for Parker Meggitt.

- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths
- The right to work in the UK
- Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course
- Left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start
About the apprenticeship…
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete Level 3 Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship with a specified external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively. This apprenticeship duration is approximately 18 months in duration.
