About the role:
As an Advanced Machining Apprentice, you'll dive into the world of manufacturing, gaining invaluable skills in manual machining and machine calibration. You'll have the opportunity to explore a variety of manufacturing processes, from welding to CNC milling and turning, mastering both traditional techniques and cutting-edge technologies.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Manual Machining
- Calibrating machinery and performing test routines to ensure they are in working order
- A breadth of manufacturing processes such as welding, CNC Milling and Turning and various traditional machining techniques.
- Maintaining Business Information Systems with content where appropriate
- Working in line with company procedures for health and safety
- Learning engineering principles such as lean manufacturing

To succeed in this role you need to…
- Have strong written communication and verbal communication skills

In order to apply you must have….
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and Maths and a STEM subject
- The right to work in the UK
- Been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course
- Left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start
About the apprenticeship…
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship with a specified external training provider. This will give you the knowledge, training and external approval to do your job effectively. This apprenticeship duration is approximately 4 years in duration.
