Description

 Would you like to kickstart your career with a long established and forward thinking law firm? Are you an organised, self motivated person with a passion for learning?



Williamson & Henry are a firm of solicitors and estate agents who aim to provide a high-quality customer friendly and practical service at a reasonable cost. They have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join their team as an apprentice.



Your responsibilities will include:





  • Using our Lawware computer system, ensuring contact details are up to date for clients, indexing documents, keeping tracking of client information and communication


  • Becoming an expert in all MS packages, such MS Word for audio typing and creating digital files, generating forms and other documents


  • Inputting and updating details on internal and external websites and portals like Registers of Scotland and Estate Agency websites


  • Filing clients digitally using Lawware and on shared networks


  • Acting as first point of contact for the business by email on MS Outlook and by answering telephones, collaborating with other members of the team as and when


  • All other general office duties




What we’re looking for:





  • Good spelling and grammar


  • Computer literate – familiarity with MS Word in particular would be a real advantage


  • Flexible and adaptable


  • Good attention to detail and accuracy


  • A positive and proactive mind set, and an ability to learn and apply yourself to new tasks


  • Keen to learn and work as part of a team




Salary:



£14,000 per annum



Working hours:



35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

This vocational apprenticeship comprehensively supports your specific job role with this particular employer.  Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work.  They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.



Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.



On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
