We are looking for a Production Planning Apprentice to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Planning Apprentice will work alongside the Production Planning Supervisor and the wider Katmex team contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Production Planning department. Key tasks and
responsibilities
• Support in the
creation and management of works orders within MRP/ERP system.
• Help to plan and
coordinate production schedule considering customer requirements and production
constraints.
• Assist in the
analysis of back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize,
plan, and schedule the production.
• Support the
Production Planning team in liaising with suppliers, supply chains to remain
fully updated on any events resulting in supply discrepancy or interruption.
• Work
collaboratively with customer service to support customer requirements – order
acknowledgment.
• Creation of
production schedules for publication.
• Help to maintain
planning parameters to maximise performance.
• Assist with
continuing improvements of data processes, and systems, within operations
planning.
• Support with the
calculation and maintenance of planned inventory levels and buffer stock.
• Placing orders
with suppliers and monitoring pricing and delivery lead times.
• Liaising with
supply chain to maintain a collaborative relationship.
• Completion of 5S
safety audits.
• Support the
Production Planning Supervisor and Production Planner & Purchaser with
administrative tasks.
• Maintaining
documents.
• Other adhoc
duties in line with business requirements and within the scope of your
responsibilities and skill-set.
