Description

  1. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Officer, this position will suit someone who has a passion for marketing, is a whizz on social media, is administratively well organised, creative and accurate, with an eye for detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities will include providing an efficient and effective administrative support service to the team, executing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, assisting in organising events and creating engaging content for our websites and social media.

This role is a fantastic opportunity and will include excellent support, training and mentoring for the successful candidate within our fun and friendly marketing and communications team.

Key accountabilities:

· Assist in developing and executing a range of integrated marketing and communication campaigns across various channels (social media, email, web, print)

· Support internal communications across multiple Smile Together locations and help to maintain our intranet as an accurate, up to date, engaging resource for colleagues

· Ensure the marketing and communications team is administratively well organised to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities in a busy working environment. Including arranging meetings as required and cancelling/rescheduling as necessary

· Support the team in managing the Marketing inbox and responding to relevant enquiries from colleagues, patients and stakeholders

· Maintain and develop our ‘digital personality’ by creating engaging content for social media, regularly analysing and reporting on performance for maximum reach and engagement (working in partnership with our retained marketing agency)

  • Assist in maintaining our websites ensuring content is accurate, up to date and engaging for key audiences

· Proof marketing materials and communications to ensure accuracy and professionalism at all times

· Support in writing recruitment advertisements and in the posting of vacancies

· Help to create and disseminate promotional materials/literature within brand guidelines and budgets, working with colleagues, partners, agencies and direct with suppliers

· Support the team in organising events and attend them to facilitate their success

  • Proactively engage with others in similar marketing and communications roles locally, regionally and nationally in order to identify and share best practice and support own professional development

· Work in Harleigh Road Dental Centre/Truro Health Park with the ability to work from home if appropriate and following induction period.

· On occasions you may be required to visit and work from other locations where you would need to integrate as part of the local team

· Undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Marketing and Communications Officer and Smile Together Management Team

· Maintaining a thorough understanding of the work of the Marketing and Communications directorate and Smile Together as a whole.

  • Budget management and how to measure return on investment (ROI).
  • The metrics for the delivery and evaluation of marketing activity.
  • The importance of reviewing campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness and optimisation.
  • The campaign management process including research, planning, budgeting, implementation, and delivery.
  • Tools used to support campaign management such as social media,
  • Gantt charts, data analytics, and project management software.
  • The customer journey including customer offline and digital touchpoints, customer personas, how to engage customers at different stages of their journey, sales funnels and how to segment an audience for targeting.
  • The impact marketing has on the level of customer service or the customer experience, including community management channels.
  • Quality management and the maintenance of online and offline assets.

Skills

  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines.
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

  • Hourly Wage: national living wage: £11.44 per hour for 21+ £8.60 for 18-20, £6.40 under 18
