Description

Jack and Jill's Nursery are looking for a level 3 early years educator apprentice to join their team and assist in the provision for the all-round needs and development of children aged 2-5 years old within the nursery setting on a full time basis. This is achieved through high quality care, play activities and education. The aim is to provide group day care in a happy, safe and stimulating environment, where children can develop in a family type atmosphere.

8:30 start (7.5 hours per day) across 4 days a week.

Some of the daily duties will include:

  • Setting out play and creative activities in an attractive and appealing manner
  • Attending to the child’s physical needs and well being, i.e. feeding and changing – following Nursery hygiene procedures
  • Encouraging all children to become involved in all activities
  • Provide varied story time and music sessions relevant to each age group
  • Assist set out and supervise outdoor activities

    Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Jack & Jills will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

    You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

    • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

    • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator

    • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

    • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

    This will be delivered through Jack & Jill's ‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.

    You will need to have an enhanced DBS check if you are not on the updating service and willing to obtain a pediatric first aid certificate if you do not have one.
