What you'll be doing:

- Ensure BT’s network is designed, tested, built, and maintained with innovative ideas

- Manage different services across our networks to provide the best customer experience

- Test the latest networking technology and upgrade the existing network

- Plan, install, and run network elements using world-class data analytics

- Learn job-specific skills such as planning, designing, building, and testing simple networks

- Apply appropriate security products and processes

- Identify and evaluate network security risks, ensuring secure and resilient network design

- Engage in human-centred design and agile ways of working

- Work directly with customers to install and maintain computer networks

- Ability to plan, design, build, and test simple networks

- Knowledge of network security products and processes

- Capability to identify and evaluate network security risks

- Proficiency in data analytics for network improvements

- Problem-solving skills and innovative thinking

- 5 GCSEs at grades 4 – 9 (GCSE C or above) including English Language

- 2 A levels at C grade or above, one in a STEM or equivalent

- Equivalent qualifications are accepted

- Full UK driving licence required

- Study for a Level 4 apprenticeship in Network Engineering with Firebrand at Firebrand TP’s Wyboston training centre in Bedford

- Attend the training centre 3 times during the course for 4 days of training each time (around month 8, month 12, and month 16)

- Food and accommodation provided at Firebrand’s residential site, with travel covered by BT

- Apprenticeship duration: 24 months

- Minimum of 20% of working hours dedicated to learning and studying

- Motivated to make a difference

- Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and clients

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges

- Customer-focused mindset
