Description

Tangent House are looking for a motivated apprentice to join their close-knit team.

In this role you will be:

  • cleaning, nappy changing, activity planning, completing development records for children, feeding time and other care routines.
  • Working as part of the nursery team to provide high quality care and education for the children.
  • supervise and play with the children
  • overseeing activities which cover all areas of children’s development
  • liaising with and support parents and carers.
  • Undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery e.g preparing snacks and cleaning Ensure good hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times
  • supporting the team in providing effective planning for the Early Years Foundation Stage Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are adhered to
  • attending in and out of working hours activities e.g staff meetings and to work in a professional, efficient and caring manner at all times.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Tangent Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which include.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator

• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered through Tangent Houses dedicated training provider, Realise.

Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
