Description

Tilly Mints Cherubs are looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to join their experienced team in supporting the nurseries daily routines.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the children are safe, secure, and happy inside and outside, whilst they are at Nursery
  • Assisting children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with toileting and other associated welfare duties
  • Liaising closely with parents/carers, informing them about the Nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement
  • Understanding the cultural, religious, ethical, or personal preference issues that some parents may have in relation to their child
  • General housekeeping duties to support maintaining a safe environment.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Tillymints Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if required

This will be delivered throughTillymints Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.

  • Working as an enthusiastic member of the team in either Pre-School or other rooms, as required.

  • Possibility of permanent employment, and additional training/qualifications.

  • DBS required
  • The nursery has excellent public transport links
