Location: ScottishPower House, 320 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5AD

Help us create a better future, quicker

We currently have opportunities to join our Connection Services Team, as a Customer Service Representative. You'll be supporting customers with their application through the connections process, by providing administrative support in activities such as registering customer applications for connections work or providing post quotation support and handling payments. You'll respond to customers within the Guaranteed Standard timescales and will also carry out some daily reporting activities, as well as assisting in the complaints process.

You'll be working 8:30am - 4:45pm, Monday to Friday, initially office based at our Glasgow HQ while training, with the option of a hybrid working pattern thereafter. So, whether you are looking for a traditional working week to support your work life balance, you value job security, or you've got longer-term ambitions to progress your career, this is an interesting role to kick start your career at SP Energy Networks. And if you're keen to progress, we offer excellent learning and development opportunities for people with ambition and drive.

What you'll be doing

The Customer journey will be at the heart of everything you do, paying close attention to the customer's needs and striving to create a positive customer experience. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be providing administration support focussed on one aspect of the customer journey through the connections process.

Day to day, you could be a customer's first point of contact, answering inbound calls and emails from personal and business customers, in order to register customers applications for all connections work, including the CIC & acceptance process. You would also be using registration systems, working with capacity records, and undertaking network data transfer processes.

You could also be making outbound calls, following up on design quotations sent by our designers for new or altered power supply connections, ensuring that customers understand and are comfortable with the quotation, discussing next steps and liaising with Design Engineers if there are any changes required. Here, you would also support customers with the post quotation payment and acceptance process, ensuring that quotations are paid and accepted within a timely manner. These calls will be a point to confirm customers have had a positive experience and rate us 10/10 or to gather information if the journey has not been at this level, escalating to the designer/ Team Leader.

What you'll bring

We will look for you to have customer service experience, with experience of handling both inbound and outbound calls preferable and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel. An effective communicator, you should have the ability to understand and anticipate the customer's needs and will have a passion for helping others, to ensure all aspects of the customer journey are positive. You will also have the ability to escalate issues when required, where the customer is not 100% happy, will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and have good attention to detail.

What's in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
