Description
As an Early Years Educator Apprentice at the Forest Tree Nursery you'll assist and shadow the room leader, gaining hands-on experience in childcare, while continuing your development and working towards completing your apprenticeship.
Based in Baby Room area of the nursery -
- General support within the nursery
- Day to day tasks in supporting and looking after children in a safe manner
- Shadowing and assisting room leader
- Responsible for key children and monitoring their development
- Liaising with parents and carers
- Taking part in observations and reviews of children's learning and development
- Continuing development and completing apprenticeship

- Experience within an early years setting or desire to become a qualified nursery practitioner.
- GCSE Maths/English or equivalent, or willingness to work towards the required level of functional skills alongside the apprenticeship.
- Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. The Forest Tree Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through The Forest Tree Nursery dedicated training provider, Realise.
