build and refurbishment projects in
education, blue light, further education, public and leisure buildings,
healthcare and maintenance supported by private sector commercial, specialist
residential and industrial schemes.

As a Business Administrator Apprentice, you will work as part of the
Operation/Commercial team and undertake a variety of tasks that play an
important role in the effective running of these departments. Your duties will include the following:
- Administrative site set up for new projects
- Logging the weekly hours worked for each project
- Monitoring and liaising with subcontractors for up to date insurance
policy documents
- Updating the contract list
- Updating the staff contact list
- Updating the site labour chart
- Logging information and saving the documents onto Sharepoint
- Printing drawings for the sites
- Scanning site files
- Uploading purchase orders and material requisitions to Sharepoint
- Supplier appraisals
- New accounts forms and questionnaires
- Weekly plant hire reconciliation
- Assisting the Operations Manager/Commercial Department with general
scanning, photocopying and printing when required
Hourly rate of pay to be reviewed 3/6 months.
Working hours :
Our standard office hours are Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm (30 min lunch break) and Friday 8am – 4:00pm (30 min lunch break)

Level 3 a minimum of English and maths grades A*- C (9-4) (or equivalent) are
desirable OR willingness to complete Functional Skills Level 2 are a requirement
to have or to achieve before EPA Gateway.
STANDARD & LEVEL
The successful candidate will work towards completing the Level 3 Business Administration Standard from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education. Delivered by Blackpool and The Fylde College offering expert tuition and exceptional facilities.

Off-the-job training
Developing your skills at work is called on-the-job training, 20% of your apprenticeship (equal to one full day a week) will be ‘off-the-job’. This might include attending College, tackling projects, online learning, coaching, shadowing, or training for your job.
Stacks of support
Assessment mostly takes place in the workplace. When you start, you will be allocated a skills coach, who will visit you at least once a month to guide and support you and help you to plan for your future. We will also provide you with specialist support for your English and maths and for any additional needs that you make us aware of.
