Description

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • Multi-tasking
  • Coping under pressure when one child wants pushing on the swings and another wanting to play football
  • A good time keeper and reliable as the children will be eagerly awaiting your arrival
  • Be able to work with the wonderful team we currently have

Duties:

Provide inspirational learning activities

Offer safe play activities, both indoors and outside

Record accidents and report child safety concerns

Speak to parents and carers about their child's day

  • A level 1 or above in Maths and English - preferred
  • Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Little Giggles Academy will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator

• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered through Little Giggles Academy‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.
