Description

Duties will include:-

  • Leading and co-ordinating the understanding and review of financial performance.
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders and other members of the Finance Partnering and Reporting & Analytics team to provide clear guidance as well as financial and strategic analysis.
  • You will support the creation of robust financial plans aligned with CUK strategies, helping to drive performance against these plans.
  • In this role, you will work closely with members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and their teams to establish strong relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of their business areas. This will enable you to act as a sounding board, providing proactive financial guidance to drive profitability, and offering forward-looking perspectives and constructive challenge.
  • Additionally, you will advise on business cases for investments, opportunities, and operational changes.
  • You will play a pivotal role in reviewing key initiatives to ensure they yield the expected benefits and optimal results.

  • Background in Finance either via experience or education.
  • Preferably with Oracle, Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Power BI understanding is also desirable but not required.

  • The candidate must be qualified to degree level or equivalent with the ability to then go on to professional qualification via CIMA or ACCA.

ACA is a great option if you’re looking to become a chartered accountant and work in accountancy and finance. It opens a wealth of opportunities, as you can specialise in specific areas or sectors, or work broadly across multiple industries. You’ll also need to have 450 practical work experience days.

Certificate Level: You’ll be introduced to the essentials of accountancy, finance, and businesses. You’ll learn about double-entry accounting, assurance, business and technology, law, management, and taxation.

Professional Level: This level teaches you how to apply technical knowledge to real-life scenarios. You’ll deepen your knowledge on financial reporting, audit and assurance, tax compliance, finance management, business strategy, and business planning.

Advanced Level: You will give you the skills to understand how accountancy and finance works within businesses. You’ll learn about corporate reporting and strategic business management.

  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience of a Finance business partnering / strategic planning role
  • Ability to co-ordinate inputs from multiple functions efficiently, being clear on requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate, co-ordinate and collaborate at varying levels in the organisation
  • Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high quality work to tight deadlines
  • Commercial awareness / business knowledge
  • Excellent analysis, communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive

The ability to develop in a large international corporation. With access to apprentice programs up to chartership level via CIMA or ACCA. Rotational opportunities to gain experience in a variety of Finance areas at certain levels, with a large Finance department then offering progression opportunities to further your career.
