Sumo waste are a recycling and waste organisation and pride themselves in practical, cost-effective solutions, providing a wide range of colour-coded waste and recycling bags tailored to their customer’s needs.



Overview:
Sumo Waste are a small family run business looking for a Digital Applications Support Apprentice to join their team based in Glasgow to support their office manager!



What’s involved?





  • Becoming an expert in Wage Logic for booking in pick up appointments for drivers


  • Daily data entry Waste Logic system to process customers’ orders


  • Managing finance documents through Microsoft Excel and processing these via Zero


  • Working as a first response to customers and clients with regards to orders and diary bookings


  • Using online templates via Microsoft Word templates to provide quotes to customers then sending these via Outlook


  • Using online shared drives and client portals to update order information daily


  • Using Microsoft Packages daily in relation to updating pricing information for requested products and services and updating customers notes




You should be:





  • Comfortable using Microsoft 365 packages and digital systems


  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment


  • Team player


  • Pro-active and willingness to learn




Working week: Monday - Friday, 9am - 4:30pm / 35hrs a week.



Salary: £16,000 - £17,000 per annum.

They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.
Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.



On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
