Evolve Document Solutions Limited is a leading supplier of Multifunctional Office Devices. We are at the cutting edge of photocopying and office solutions. 
We supply and maintain networked printing and scanning devices across the UK. 



Overview: 
We are looking for an apprentice to join the team as an IT Engineer/Support Assistant Apprentice in Bamber Bridge, Preston.



The Role of an Apprentice will involve: 





  • Providing remote support to resolve any printing/scanning issues for our clients.


  • Ensuring devices have the latest software updates before installation.


  • Installing / setting up the printer on the client's computers.


  • Configuring the email server for scanning.


  • Working with IP addresses, subnets, WAN, LAN, Switches, Access points, Creating network cables, Gateway, DNS, SMTP.


  • Refurbishment of Copiers by repairing/exchanging any faulty or worn parts.


  • Overseeing the trained engineers on service calls for our clients.


  • Assisting in the installation of new devices for our clients.


  • Shadowing the IT team as they deliver remote support for our clients.

Drive, location not duties: 
Please Note - Being able to drive is preferred but not essential as long as you are within an hour commute. 



Entry requirements:





  • 3 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject


  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)


  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject




You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.



If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
