Opportunity Details

Liscombe Park Equestrian Centre are a big and busy livery yard and riding school. They have two yards with 30 stables on each yard, two outdoor arenas and one indoor arena, on-site café amongst other facilities. Their riding school has lessons throughout the daytime and early evening plus at weekends.

Liscombe have nearly 100 horses, a mixture of full livery, working livery and riding school horses and ponies.

Your job as an Apprentice will be to support the other team members by catching in, turning out, mucking out etc.

Jobs will include but are not limited to;

•Mucking out

•Turning out/bringing in

•Tack cleaning

•Tacking up

•Feeding

•Filling hay nets

•Rug changing

•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Skills Required

Some equine experience would be beneficial to the successful candidate.

Qualifications Required

C+/4+ in GCSEs or Level 1 + in Functional Skills is desirable but not essential.

Training

All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

  • Child friendly

Prospects

Possibility of progression on to the level 3 senior equine groom for the right candidate, or standard employment.

Other Information

There is no accommodation available with this position and it isn't accessible by public transport , so please make sure you can get there and back daily before applying.

There is the possibility of livery for own horse .
