Make an Impact at RSM UK – External Audit
The RSM school leaver programme offers a career path where each day presents unique challenges, opportunities for growth, and endless possibilities. It equips individuals with the skills needed to thrive, while providing support to unlock a future filled with opportunities and valuable experiences. Participants gain access to the latest technology to enhance their work, making this an exciting time to pursue a career in audit at RSM.
From the outset, school leavers begin studying towards the Chartered Accountant qualification, with the first exams taking place within the first few months. Throughout this journey, RSM provides guidance and support every step of the way.
As members of the audit team, school leavers conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. They play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements while building trust and confidence among stakeholders.
You'll make an impact by:
- Becoming a valued member of the team from day one, with early opportunities to engage in client work—initially as part of a larger team before taking on individual responsibilities.
- Working with a diverse range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups, as well as charities, pension schemes, and other not-for-profit organisations.
- Being based primarily in the office or at client sites, providing the chance to build relationships with colleagues and gain the development and support needed in the early stages of a career.
- The skills and experiences gained during the training programme provide a strong foundation for a successful and rewarding career.
What RSM offers:
- The opportunity to work towards a Chartered Accountant apprenticeship programme.
- Access to a tailored development programme and an online learning portal to build digital and interpersonal skills.
- Lifestyle, health, and wellbeing benefits, including financial wellbeing support, which can be tailored to individual needs.
Important information:
- RSM will only consider one application per recruitment cycle and does not accept multiple applications to different vacancies.
- Due to changes in government policy from April 2024, applications can only be accepted from individuals with existing, permanent rights to live and work in the UK.
