Opportunity Details
With 22 million digitally active customers and a major tech transformation underway, Lloyds Banking Group isn’t tinkering at the edges—it’s reinventing how banking and finance works. And Technology Engineering Graduates are right at the heart of it.
As one of the UK’s biggest investors in technology, the Group is putting up to £3bn a year into new tools, apps, platforms, and ways of working. The challenge? To build banking that’s safer, smarter, and simpler for everyone.
This is where theory meets action. Graduates don’t just code—they create, test, and deploy solutions that millions rely on every day. The focus is on engineering, development, and deployment—the practical build of the solutions that bring ideas to life.
Aligned to a platform (such as Cloud Services or Digital Banking) for two years, graduates rotate across feature teams to experience the full software development life cycle. Hands-on experience includes:
- Software Engineering – coding in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift
- DevOps – building pipelines and automating releases
- Quality Assurance – testing, refining, and improving customer journeys
This isn’t work experience—it’s work that matters. From improving mobile banking journeys to strengthening customer security, graduates deliver value to millions every day.
Along the way, they take part in hackathons (sponsored by the likes of Google and Microsoft), showcase their skills at awards, and even help shape the future of the scheme itself through graduate feedback and innovation challenges.
