Information Systems are essential to maintaining the organisation’s productivity levels. Under the Head of IT, the successful candidate will become a critical staff member, providing primarily first-line support to users submitting IT Helpdesk tickets, and being a crucial resource in completing IT-related projects. The role will involve face to face, telephone, and Microsoft Teams communication with end users to confirm and troubleshoot problems they are facing. As training in organisational software and systems progresses, the successful candidate will work towards providing elements of second-line support. They must demonstrate teamwork and communication skills when working independently and as part of the IT team, and when working with a variety end users across all departments.p pstrongResponsibilities:strongp ul liRespond to and escalate IT Helpdesk tickets as appropriate.li liSet up and manage user accounts and company devices per IT procedures.li liMaintain and update software systems including Sage 200, Microsoft 365, and others.li liEnsure timely updates and security compliance across all devices.li liManage IT inventory and maintain accurate documentation.li liOperate with integrity and assess cross-departmental impact of IT changes.li ul pstrongRequired skills:strongp ul liStrong interest in technology and ability to self-manage tasks.li liFamiliarity with Windows 1011 and Microsoft Office applications.li liWillingness to learn business processes and systems.li liTeam-oriented with effective communication and support skills.li liHigh integrity, ownership and problem-solving mindset.li liPatient and clear communicator with colleagues and customers.li ul pstrongAdditionally, the following experience would be beneficial:strongp ul liBasic knowledge of Microsoft SQL, HTML, CSS, or IT networks.li liQuick learner with new systems and technologies.li liExperience or interest in business software and infrastructure.li liUnderstanding of IT security and data protection principles.li liExposure to device management tools like Microsoft Intune.li liAbility to contribute to documentation and process improvement.li liUK driving licence and own vehicle, due to the location of the office.li ul pstrongEntry requirements:strongp ul li3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subjectli liGCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)li liProspective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subjectli ul pYou may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
