Opportunity Details
This is a varied and rewarding opportunity where no two days are the same. As a Quality Practitioner Apprentice, you’ll be involved in everything from facilitating risk prevention events and carrying out audits to finding innovative solutions that solve real business challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Throughout your placements within AWE’s Quality function, you’ll gain hands-on experience managing and reviewing company processes and procedures. You’ll learn how these are applied to meet contractual and regulatory requirements for AWE’s customers and stakeholders — supporting quality planning, assurance, control, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Alongside your practical training, you’ll also complete academic studies to achieve the Level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship, giving you eligibility for professional registration with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) at Practitioner grade upon successful completion.
This opportunity is ideal if you:

Recruitment process:

Those successful at testing will be invited to a virtual assessment centre. The Assessment Centres are scheduled for 13th and 14th January 2026. Please note that these dates may be subject to change, but rest assured, AWE will keep all applicants informed throughout the process.

Qualifications Required
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including Maths and English
- 1 ‘A’ Level or equivalent Grade C or above (preferred not mandatory)
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over, as of 31st August 2026, due to security clearance requirements
- You must be a British National to apply for a role with AWE
Other Information
Please note: annual leave cannot be taken between 1st September and 2nd October 2026 due to mandatory inductions that form part of the apprenticeship programme. Any leave after this period will be subject to training provider requirements and must be approved in advance.
These roles are governed by Health and Safety at Work Regulations and require all candidates to have an Occupational Health pre-employment medical held at AWE which follows the initial selection process. All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
