Opportunity Details
Fullers Hill Farm is a top class equestrian dressage centre with around 25 horses and ponies. They have large facilities including an indoor school, outdoor arenas, paddocks, horse walker, round pen and stables. They run a variety of unaffiliated and British Dressage events from Intro to Elementary, as well as hosting a top class Livery package.
This is a very exciting and supportive establishment, offering a role of 25 hours per week at a competitive £15 per hour. The rota will be Sunday 10am-4pm and Monday-Wednesday 8am-2pm (with an extra hour to be discussed with employer).
The ideal candidate for this apprenticeship will already possess equine knowledge and experience that they're looking to enhance, and have confidence and a passion for horses. It is essential that you are confident around horses and have experience handling a variety of them. You should have a positive, hardworking, can-do attitude and be able to work harmoniously with other staff in their enthusiastic team.
The employer is happy for this Level 3 apprenticeship opportunity to be either a ridden or non-ridden pathway. They will assess your riding ability before progressing with a chosen pathway as all their horses available are of a high dressage standard.
This is a great opportunity for a Level 3 Senior Equine Apprentice to learn and contribute to the daily running of this yard, with tasks including but not limited to:
- Learn deeper knowledge of horse care and stable management
- Lunge horses for exercise and improvement
- Daily care and management of dressage & livery horses
- General yard duties including mucking out, grooming, tack cleaning, feeding and turning out
- Maintaining high standards of presentation across the yard and horses
- Riding for exercise (if choosing the riding pathway)
The right candidate must also hold a Valid UK driving license as there is a yard 4x4 to be driven around site when helping with facility maintenance. The employer is also keen to teach you to drive their tractor to help enhance your skills.
Please ensure you consider your transport to and from the location. There is no accommodation on site and no availability for own horse.

Qualifications Required
A GCSE or equivalent pass is beneficial but not essential. If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
Training
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
