This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start a career in IT, gaining hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognized qualification. You’ll play a key role in supporting end users, helping to resolve IT issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.p pstrongYoull be responsible for:strongp ul liThe first point of contact for IT support via phone, email and ticketing system.li liLog, categorise and prioritise incoming support requests accurately.li liTroubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software and network issues.li liAssist with setting up and configuring PCs, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.li liEscalate more complex issues to the internal Support team where appropriate.li liPerform routine maintenance tasks such as password resets and user account management.li liMaintain accurate records and documentation of support tasks and resolutions.li liSupport the onboarding and offboarding process of staff by setting up or deactivating IT accounts and equipment.li liParticipate in training and development activities as part of the apprenticeship.li liFollow all company policies and procedures, including data protection and security best practices.li ul pstrongAbout you:strongp ul liYou’re someone whos curious about how things work and love solving problems.li liYou might already enjoy helping friends or family with their tech issues, and youre keen to turn that interest into a career.li liYoure reliable, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions.li liYou thrive in a team setting but can also take initiative when needed.li liMost of all, you care about doing a good job and delivering a great experience to the people you support.li ul pstrongRequired skills:strongp ul liKeen interest in IT and technology.li liWillingness to learn and develop skills.li liGood communication skills, both written and verbal.li liA helpful and patient attitude with a customer-focused approach.li liBasic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.li liGood problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.li liAbility to work as part of a team and take direction.li ul pstrongIn addition, the following experience would be beneficial:strongp ul liSome experience with IT (e.g., through school, personal projects, or work experience).li liFamiliarity with common IT systems such as Active Directory or Office 365.li ul pstrongEntry requirements:strongp ul li3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subjectli liGCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)li liProspective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subjectli ul pYou may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
