Opportunities for everyone

TfL is a globally recognised brand. We offer careers with purpose, and make London a great place to work, visit and live. With a strong heritage, a world-recognised brand and an ambitious future — we believe we’re a great place for you.

We’re building a workplace that is inclusive and diverse representing London’s demographics. We care about our employees and we create an environment where they have a sense of pride, passion and respect for each other. An environment where our colleagues can bring their authentic selves to work and have a deep sense of belonging.

Our goal is to have high levels of engagement and inclusion. We are regarded as an Employer of choice and Industry recognised as pushing Diversity & Inclusion boundaries.

We’re proud to be an award-winning employer for work-life balance. We recognise how important work-life balance is to remain healthy, happy and productive. It’s built into our culture like DNA, and we beat many leading organisations to the top spot.

Our passion is to create a fairer, greener and healthier city and we are prioritising health and wellbeing and the quality of people’s experience in everything we do.

Sustainability:

Sustainability is core to our purpose. We are committed to achieving the Mayor’s goal of making London carbon neutral by 2030 and support a green recovery and better future for the capital. We want to do right by our customers and colleagues by continuing to protect and regenerate the environment.

Diversity:

We are committed to promoting equality. We want to create an inclusive London that is open to all, where difference is celebrated and respected, and where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background. This is why we need talented people, reflecting the diverse city that we serve.

We believe that everyone deserves to reach their full potential. And we mean everyone. Whatever your background, whether you’re taking their first steps into work from school, or seeking a new career path, there’s an opportunity here for everyone.

Staff Network Groups:

Our Staff Network Groups (SNGs) give you the chance to share ideas and support each other in developing our equality agenda in all areas of employment.

These include groups centred around:

  • Disability
  • Faith
  • LGBT+
  • RACE (Raising Awareness of Culture and Ethnicity)
  • Wellbeing
  • Women and many more

They offer regular meetings to discuss different topics, organise events and provide a lot of support.

Innovation

Innovation is at the heart of what we do at TfL. From business planning to front-line operations, we aim to create an environment where people have the support and resources to innovate where they see a need for change.

We are investing billions to transform the Capital’s network, becoming a world-leading smart city that’s hyper-connected and responsive.
