Tell us more about your experience

In my day-to-day role, I work within digital marketing, using technology to do so. I mainly use this technology to run online advertising campaigns and also work with my team on specific projects. In an apprenticeship, every day is really different and that is definitely exciting. I knew early on that I wanted to do an apprenticeship and after researching all my options, the pros of doing an apprenticeship really outweighed those of university.

I’m able to gain a qualification while developing my career. If you’re considering an apprenticeship, it’s important that you research your options. There are loads of places you can get more information, such as the GetMyFirstJob website, or even YouTube and Instagram. When you’re informed of your choices, you can pick which is the best path for you.

I’ve received a huge amount of support from my employer during my apprenticeship. My manager has encouraged me to email her about any problems that I might have, which has been so helpful. My employer has also given me training which means I’m prepared for my role. I’ve also received a massive amount of support from my training provider – they’ve held online training so we can get more information related to our roles.

After I’ve completed my apprenticeship, I hope to see myself remaining within the same company or perhaps pursuing a degree apprenticeship. I even used GetMyFirstJob when I started looking for apprenticeship opportunities – it was useful for finding business admin roles. I even managed to get to a final stage interview with a large company but found that the role was not a great fit for me.
