Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing general administrative support to solicitors, lawyers and office staff
  • Managing telephone reception and greeting clients in a professional manner
  • Filing and maintaining electronic and paper records in a secure, confidential manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Supporting financial administration
  • Assisting with case file preparation and document organisation
  • Data entry using specialist law firm software
  • Supporting the team with general office tasks including ordering supplies and managing facilities

Skills required

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service orientation and professional manner
  • Basic numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications required

  • A minimum of 5 x GCSEs which must include English and maths at grade 4/C or above
  • No prior experiencenecessary; training will be provided

On completion, you could progress to more senior administrative roles, specialise in a particular area of law, or pursue further qualifications in paralegal work.
