We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Catering Assistant on Our Edinburgh schools’ contract in Pirniehall/St David's Primary School, 4 West Pilton Crescent, Edinburgh EH4 4HP

18 Hours Per week (Shift pattern term time only 38 weeks per year – Monday to Thursday 10am till 2 pm – Friday 9 till 11 am)

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.

What you will do:

  • Basic preparation of food and drinks Preparation of vegetables and snacks.
  • Simple cooking of food (including the heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables)
  • Transportation and serving of meals (including the packing and unpacking of food into containers)
  • Washing up and clearing away equipment
  • Cash handling
  • Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds and the equipment

  • Highly organised, responsible, efficient, and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer services skills, friendly, approachable with a positive work ethic
