We have an exciting opportunity for a consultant to join our high-performing Senior Finance team, based in Birmingham. This is a chance to become part of a highly respected team with an established presence across the Midlands, delivering exceptional recruitment solutions within the senior finance market.

Working within a well-established and profitable desk, you'll recruit senior finance professionals into permanent appointments across a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from SMEs through to large corporate organisations. We’re looking for a commercially astute individual who is motivated by building long-term partnerships and delivering outstanding results. In this role, you’ll contribute to the continued success and growth of one of Hays' most respected specialist markets.

The Opportunity

What can I expect day to day?

This is a superb opportunity to deepen your external relationships and accelerate your career within a mature and highly profitable market. You will form an integral part of a dynamic and collaborative Senior Finance team, working alongside highly experienced consultants, managers and Senior Business Directors.

Your primary focus will be to engage with senior stakeholders, strengthen existing partnerships and drive new business opportunities across the Midlands finance market. You will recruit for permanent positions including Financial Controllers, Finance Directors, Management Accountants and other senior finance professionals.

This opportunity will suit someone naturally inquisitive and passionate about operating within a senior and consultative recruitment market. Your ability to competitively negotiate terms of business, influence key decision makers and provide market-leading insight will be instrumental in establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and market expert. Some of your main responsibilities may include:

• Source, interview, and match high-quality candidates to roles

• Identify and proactively partner with new and existing clients through new outreach and business development calls to build better, profitable outcomes by understanding their hiring needs and challenges

• Manage the recruitment process by guiding candidates and Clients through the full recruitment process from taking a brief to negotiating offers

• Be bold and curious, developing specialist market expertise by actively seeking to understand your customer’s market

• Take accountability for meeting targets and delivering your monetary goals that contribute to the growth and profitability of Hays

• Be part of vibrant and inclusive culture that cheers on progress by celebrating personal and team performance
