This role provides structured, hands-on training in IT systems administration, cyber security, and compliance, contributing to the smooth operation of business technology while developing core professional and technical skills.p pThe apprentice will work closely with the Tech Ops Manager and the global Tech Ops team to provide effective first-line and second-line support, develop an understanding of company systems, and contribute to the continual improvement of IT services.p pstrongResponsibilities:strongp ul liProvide Tier 1 and supervised Tier 2 IT systems support for the companys users, devices, and internal network services, escalating complex issues as required.li liAssist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning equipment, configuring access permissions, and documenting asset inventory.li liSupport the purchase, setup, and installation of IT equipment as required.li liMaintain an accurate inventory of all technology assets, ensuring updates to asset management systems.li liAssist in developing, documenting, and managing processes for supporting the IT environment holistically, including but not limited to: workstation deployment, system access management, software patchingupgrades, and management of cloud services.li liHelp manage service accounts and vendor contracts (e.g. internet, phone, printer).li liContribute to maintaining documentation of the companys technology architecture.li liResearch and suggest service enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.li liSupport the implementation and maintenance of the companys ISO 27001 Information Security Management System and ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management System.li liAssist with cyber security initiatives such as endpoint management, access control, and awareness activities.li liAssist with privacy and cyber client engagements as required.li liEnsure compliance with GDPR and UK data protection regulations in all IT operations.li liCollaborate closely with the Tech Ops Manager and US Tech Ops team to maintain global standards and support cross-region initiatives.li ul pstrongRequired skills:strongp ul liInterest in developing a career in IT operations or systems support.li liBasic understanding of computer systems, networks, and data protection.li liEnthusiasm for technology, problem-solving, and continuous learning.li liStrong attention to detail and willingness to follow documented procedures.li liMust be eligible to work in the United Kingdom.li liMust complete a background investigationli ul pstrongAdditionally, the following experience would be beneficial:strongp ul liSome prior exposure to IT systems through study, personal projects, or work experience.li liAwareness of macOS, Windows, or Google Workspace environments.li liFamiliarity with basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, VPN).li liInterest in cyber security and privacy frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR).li ul pstrongEntry requirements:strongp ul li3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subjectli liGCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)li liProspective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subjectli ul pYou may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours based upon position needs. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
