Overview:

QA has an exciting new opportunity for an IT Support Technician. So if you are a driven customer service orientated individual who had a strong desire in getting into a 1st Line Desk support apprenticeship role this role will be perfect for you.

You don't have to build computers from scratch to be a perfect fit, as long as you are a people person we would like to hear from you. 

About the Role:

You will be a responsible Helpdesk Operator to perform a variety of tasks to support the team that provides bespoke IT systems for the Hospitality Industry.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide a polite & efficient service to callers to the Help Desk
  • Day to day management of Helpdesk function
  • Log support requests
  • Use of software to support responses to customer enquiries
  • Interpreting and resolving basic queries
  • Carry out additional duties as required by the Customer Support Specialist

 

About you: 

No specific technical skills are required, but a strong work ethic and friendly personality is a must!

Basic knowledge of networking, Microsoft and Windows OS not essential but would be advantageous.

All training provided.

Desired skills and qualities:

  • The ability to communicate confidently and clearly both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Good organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills
  • The ability to work within the team and assists others where required to achieve a common goal

 

Desired qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Working week:

40hrs a week.
