Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme, are offering this exciting opportunity to embark on a career as a Technical Sales Apprentice and join a vibrant, team focused technology company.

Due to an ever-increasing workload, our client is now in a position to engage an apprentice who can come in to assist the Sales, Account Management and Customer Service functions with a view to becoming a fully-fledged Business Development Executive, Account Manager or Sales Administrator in the future.

Full training and guidance will be provided and in essence, the right path can be built for any candidate to succeed within the business, whether that be in Sales, Account Management or Customer Service.

As a Technical Sales Apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:

  • Telephone based customer service
  • Some outbound sales activity to find new business opportunities
  • Data entry, capture and cleansing (which will assist with marketing campaigns)
  • Providing customer quotations
  • Liaising with suppliers and ordering equipment
  • Social media marketing / content writing / blogs / engagement
  • Assisting senior staff at meetings.

    Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through blended learning. This combines online technical training within a virtual classroom, as well as real-world and practical experience with your employer. The certifications you gain are highly respected and globally recognised. The skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible start to your professional career within the IT industry.

    Having previous experience in a customer facing environment would be ideal, but is certainly not essential as we are committed to providing opportunities for candidates who impress. Everybody needs to start somewhere, and we appreciate this.
  • To be considered for this role, you must have at least a C/4 grade for both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT.

    Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at a higher level in a similar subject (e.g. a degree).
    You will be enrolled on to the award-winning Microsoft Partner Apprenticeship Programme. You will work towards gaining skills across a variety of technical areas including MTA Cloud Fundamentals and MTA Network Fundamentals, these are globally recognised certifications, you will also gain a City and Guilds Diploma in Coding and logic and mobile and operating systems. This will also extend to business processes and project management.
    Decisions will be made solely on character, personality, drive, attitude and how the employer sees the said individual fitting into their already close-knit team.
