The FCA are seeking a HR Support Apprentice to complete the Level 3 HR Support qualification and CIPD Foundation Certificate in HR Practice, whilst completing the qualification they will work amongst experts in their busy head office. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and the ability work within a team.

Detailed Job Description

As a HR Apprentice, you will join one of our HR teams to develop strong foundation knowledge, skills and experience to build your future HR career. We will work with you to plan your apprenticeship journey over the next 24 months, focused on developing a well-rounded HR professional.

Rotations could include business partnering, organisational design, reward, employee relations, learning & development, recruitment and talent management. You will have exposure to opportunities and projects across HR developing the skills, experience and knowledge to become a credible HR professional.

You will contribute to our HR’s journey to becoming best in class and operating as a partner to the business. You are expected to be an ambassador of the brand by role modelling the FCA values and delivering a professional, efficient and impactful service to the business (employees, line managers and leadership).

We're looking for committed individuals with the ability to embrace change, and who show persuasive communication skills whilst considering differing points of view.

Throughout your programme we will give you the opportunity to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. You'll have a line manager from your department who is responsible for your day to day work and ensuring you are suitably challenged, developed and supported during your programme. You’ll also be assigned an independent Talent Coach who will support you in achieving your ‘off the job’ learning (knowledge, skills and behaviours aligned to the standard), which is an integral part of your HR Support Level 3 apprenticeship.

In each role you undertake, you’ll work to ensure that the business is at the heart of what you do. You’ll work collaboratively across all HR functions offering a joined up approach to the business.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  • Minimum of 2 A-Levels at grade C
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs A*-C (4-9) including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications

Skills required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages

  • The ability to produce clear and well-structured written documents
  • The ability to work as a team player and support the delivery and success of the broader HR division
  • A flexible, pragmatic and collaborative approach to work
  • A positive, proactive and curious mind-set with the experience to deploy a range of solutions when faced with challenges; ensuring these solutions are customer focused and balance the wider needs of the organisation
  • Motivated with the tenacity to drive your own development
  • Able to demonstrate and role model the FCA cultural characteristics and the behavioural standards expected of a competent HR professional.
  • Ability to develop internal and external networks and use these to support delivery
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills

Future prospects

Apprentices who successfully complete their professional qualification and apprenticeship programme will be considered for a permanent role within the FCA.

Additional Information

Training provided

As a HR Support Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the HR Support Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which is aligned with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Upon completion you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Certificate and you will be able to apply for Membership of CIPD.

The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
