South Kirkby Eyecare is looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join their optical team. We are looking for candidates that will learn the Customer Service side of a small business but who are also willing to learn the optical side. Full training for optical jobs will be provided by fully qualified staff.
We are a team of Optometrists supported by doctors, to keep your eyes healthy and your vision at its best. Our priority is to treat you in a holistic fashion, assessing and maintaining eye health, general health and psychological well being. Our Optometrists members of the Association of Optometrists & the General Optical Council. They have been specifically trained to work within a team of medical professionals to provide a holistic approach to your eyes and vision.

Your roles and responsibilities will include the following:
No qualifications required for this role, although 3 - 9 grade GCSE's or equivalent qualifications would be a distinct advantage.

•Good IT Skills.
•Teamwork and communication skills but can work off own initiative.
•Ability to prioritise.
•Understand the Data Protection Act and why we use it.
Friendly and approachable manner.
•The ability to be creative and think of own ideas but able to follow instructions.
•A keen eye for detail and displays.
•Ability to understand the customer’s needs.
There is an excellent opportunity for the apprentice to progress in to a permanent position in the company. Following the intermediate apprenticeship the apprentice will have the opportunity to progress on to an advanced apprenticeship with Interserve.
The successful apprentice will be enrolled onto an intermediate apprenticeship and level 2 Customer Service qualification. All training is 100% work based, so this is a great way to learn if you no longer want to sit in a classroom.
You have a dedicated Interserve Assessor who will give training, support and guidance throughout your 12 month apprenticeship.
As well as working towards a Level 2 Customer Service qualification you will also receive training towards a technical certificate and functional skills, Maths, English and ICT (if relevant).
