Description

Honey Bear Nursery in Hale is seeking a qualified Level 2 nursery assistant to join their team to study Level 3 Childcare. Apprentice Level 3 Nursery Nurse to fit well within the team and learn skills on the job working with children 6 Months to 5 years. A level 2 qualification in Children & Young People’s Workforce is essential, along with GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C.Some of the duties you will undertake will include: •Supervising children’s play and learning activities •Supporting children’s hygiene routines •Completing children’s learning and development files to a high standard •Assisting at meal times and with feeding •Contributing to planned programmes of activities •Liaising with parents and carers •Following Health and Safety at all times •Working as part of a team to set-up the rooms and clear down at the end of the day As an Apprentice you will be included on a Childcare Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work. •A good working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding policies would be an advantage.•Good communication skills and a high level of written and spoken English is essential.
GCSEs all grades (or equivalent).Level 2 childcare qualification is essential (applications will not be considered without this).
Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People’s Workforce, •Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in Maths, English, and ICT •Employee Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) qualification.
•Enthusiastic about working with children•Have professional attitude to working with children, colleagues and parents and other professionals in the setting •Polite, patient, punctual, diligent, trustworthy, and reliable.
On completion of the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce, you may be offered a permanent position with the nursery.
