Salary: Work Preparation Programme - unwaged
Year 1 - minimum apprenticeship wage (£6,881)
Year 2 - increase to £7,500
All training related travel expenses will be paid by the employer
Hours: 37.5 per week, Mon-Fri
27 days annual leave per year plus Bank Holidays
NHS organisations across the North West are currently looking to recruit apprentices onto the NHS Business Support Apprenticeship, a two year programme of learning commencing in October 2017 offering opportunities in the following areas of work:

Data & Information
Training SupportIn the first year apprentices will undertake the Level 2 IT Application Specialist Apprenticeship, including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualifications in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook in order to develop high-end IT user skills as a strong foundation for their future role.
In addition, learning will also be undertaken in basic Bookkeeping, Accounting and Procurement to aid understanding in how money moves around the NHS which will assist with future career progression.
In the second year apprentices will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship relevant to their area of work, including industry recognised qualifications, so that they can develop technical knowledge and skills for a specific role i.e. Assistant Accountant, IT Infrastructure Technician.
Complete a Work Preparation Programme involving employability skills training and two week’s work experience in a health organisation during September 2017, as close as possible to where they live. At the end of the Work Preparation Programme individuals will be interviewed with those successful being offered an apprenticeship.
For the duration of the two year apprenticeship, individuals will be placed in a specific department depending on their area of interest i.e. Finance, IT, Information, Training in order to develop knowledge and skills in their chosen area.
