Detailed Job Description

As an Apprentice you will prepare, cook and finish food to high standards following set menus and in line with the company brand and cuisine.

Full Description:

  • To assist in the preparation, cooking and finishing within the kitchen
  • To ensure prompt and accurate production of meals with timely service
  • To follow menu’s and use a range of specialist ingredients when necessary
  • Use appropriate kitchen equipment as required
  • Help to clean any equipment within your remit following health and hygiene and food safety legislation and procedures
  • Assist colleagues in setting-up and closing the kitchen
  • Assist with completing kitchen documentation
  • Ensure high standards of personal appearance and hygiene are up kept to ensure company representation is up held
  • Assist in ordering stock and wastage control
  • Work as part of a team deliver high standards of customer service at all times

  • A willingness to learn and have a passion and creative flair for food presentation
  • A positive attitude and sense of humour

  • Good time keeping and can prioritise work load
  • Honest and trustworthy good standard of personal hygiene, presentation and time management skills

Future prospects

This is a great place for any soon to be great chef to learn their basic skills with us. We teach all areas within a kitchen from larder and pastry to sauce. We have one of the most up to date kitchens in the area using some of the finest seasonal ingredients.
