Description

This is a great opportunity to begin your career working in the active leisure sector. You will be expected to follow the below:• Responsible for ensuring health & safety throughout the leisure centre• Ensuring high standards of customer care• Convey any comments/concerns from customers back to your line manager• Be aware of normal operating procedures & work instructions to implement emergency action plans in accordance with leisure centre procedures • To set up and put away equipment • Ensuring tasks are completed promptly to aid the smooth running of the activity timetable • To undertake any cleaning and maintaining of equipment that may be required in line with manufacturer’s guidelines As an apprentice you will be included on an Operational Services Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis throughout the 12 months, to deliver the training and coach you whilst you work. This will be delivered by an award-winning training provider.Clear communicator, sound organisational skills, possess the ability to react in a controlled manner to an emergency, have a positive approach to additional duties that may be required in a very busy and demanding public service environment.

No qualifications required as full training will be given
As an Apprentice you will be included on an Exercise & Fitness Level 2 Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work.
Ability to follow instructions, understanding of high quality customer service, an active interest in sports.30 hours over 7 days may include evenings and weekends .
After successful completion of the apprentice scheme there could be the opportunity to become part of our team, through casual, part time or full time employment subject to vacancies at end of scheme.
