This will be an exciting and varied role supporting the administration and marketing across all areas of sports development. The successful candidate will work with all the development officers to produce marketing material and help with the business administration involved with the range of community projects.

As a workforce the Sports Development team are a shared service and work across Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough. The Sports Development Team provides a large number of services to the community around sport and wellbeing, with officers’ roles including; Young People, Club and Coach, Diversity and Minority Groups and Health Intervention. The team is part of the wider Leisure and Cultural services department. Bromsgrove District and Redditch Borough Councils are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults within the community and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Future prospects

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, this company will be looking to keep the apprentice on full time. There will also be the potential to progress onto higher level apprenticeships.

Additional Information

Training provided

Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to enable the successful applicant to undertake the full range of duties required of the role.

In addition, training will also be provided towards the Apprenticeship in Business Administration through in-house delivery.

The Qualification consists of the following:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration
  • Technical certificate
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Functional Skills in Literacy and Numeracy (if relevant)
