Description

Liskeard Hillfort Primary School is part of Adventure Learning Academy Trust (ALAT), a multi-academy trust set up to raise the standards of education in Cornwall.

We currently require a enthusiastic individual to join our workforce as a Business and Administration Apprentice. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, be enthusiastic and is willing to learn.

As a Business and Administration Apprentice you duties will include:

• front office duties, assisting/directing parents and visitors;

• answer parent queries;

• answering inbound calls;

• Assist the head teacher in daily activities and any admin work;

• General administrative duties such as, scanning, filing, printing, photocopying, notice boards;

• Inform parents of any arising issues;

• responding to e-mails;

• Attend team meetings and provide input to continually improve the trust.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Business and Administration Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

• Good IT skills with a knowledge of a range of different computer packages e.g. Word, Excel;•

Good organisation skills,

• An ability to work independently with initiative.

Grades A*-C in Maths and English, or equivalent, preferred.
Intermediate Diploma in Business and Administration Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English. You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role. You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Possibility of a permanent position if the right work ethic and commitment is shown throughout the Apprenticeship programme.
