Apples and Pears Private Day Nursery are recruiting a Nursery Apprentice. They require a comitted and dedicated individual who has a genuine passion for caring for Children under 5. You will work closely with other members of staff.

The setting comprises of three buildings, our main building catering for our children aged 0-3 years, converted to the required standards, and opened in July 2004, is a two storey building, with our youngest children occupying the ground floor and older children on the first floor. The nursery offers a secure, safe immediate outdoor rubberised play area. Our older Pre-School children and out of school club children occupy purposefully designed portable buildings, with secure free-flow oportunities to the outdoor areas, including grass playing field. Staff are also able to let children have access to extensive fields and footpaths owned by us. With your agreement, children have regular visits to see and care for the nursery pets and menagerie of other animals. We also have a sensory garden

  • Organising activities, being pro-active with the help and care carried out within the early years teaching sector
  • Assisting and meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children
  • Changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing a relationship with children
  • Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well presented
  • Collaborate with colleagues ensuring the highest standards of work are carried out and are provided throughout your role in a positive manner
