DC Site Services Ltd was established in 1993, a family business providing services as an event and festival contractor to include: Staffing & Stewarding Solutions Traffic Management & Car Parking Services Volunteer Management Recycling, Litter and Waste Management Cleaning Services at Events and Festivals across the UK & Ireland. Our main office and warehouse is situated in Whittlesey, our base for equipment & administration. Five to ten people are based from the office all year round. We have a seasonal work calendar comprising of 50 regular employees supported by up to 500 casual staff during the summer months working across many event & festival sites simultaneously.

Detailed Job Description

The role will involve implementing and maintaining office operations by receiving and distributing communications, maintaining supplies and equipment, picking up and delivering items.

Other duties include:

  • To support recruitment and human resources with data entry and administration
  • To support and provide assistance to the warehouse by monitoring the supplies and equipment, booking in and out and maintain the fleet management process
  • To support, implement and maintain general office and housekeeping responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and undertake duties to assist in the fleet management, checking and monitoring of transport checklists, and booking of repairs and servicing for vehicles and trailers
  • Support the Office Manager with the day to day running of the office and warehouse and provide assistance to other office staff and Managers with data entry, administration, documents and reports as requested.

Long periods of time spent using a computer.

You may be required to think on the go.

Good communication skills are essential.

Our core business is during the summer months and annual leave is restricted during June, July and August and the office becomes a very fast paced environment where you may be required to go above and beyond to assist the Operations with any additional administration duties.

Skills required

  • Must be somebody that can be easily trusted and keep confidences and does not misrepresent themselves for personal gain
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Experience of dealing with customers and staff with excellent customer service skills
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience and excellent computer skills for internet, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook (desirable: SAGE or other accounting software)
  • Experience of administration in an office environment
  • Experience in stock control and ordering
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload

Desirable: to have experience in payroll and/or accounts, data entry and administration

Future prospects

Following the completion of the Business Administration Apprenticeship, we will encourage the candidate to progress within the administration team and seek further training within this, such as an AAT accreditation for accounting. We are developing further roles within our accounts department as available.
