We will train you in all aspects of legal support cover from reception to general administration duties. You will be able to spend time in our various departments and will gain a vast amount of experience working alongside experienced dedicated staff. Your duties will involve but are not limited to the below: Dealing with queries on the phone, by email, in person and on social media Greeting visitors at reception. Typing letters, reports and attendance notes Updating computer records Printing and photocopying trial bundles Post and DX Stationary stock and reordering Setting up meetings and taking notes during them Database use for retrieving Wills, Deeds & Probates Diary management and arranging appointments Marketing Event organisation
Ideally be working at or just below a GCSE Grade E in English, Maths & ICT or at Level 1 in functional skills. If you already hold a GCSE or functional skill and have a copy of the certificate, then you may be exempt from having to complete it again.
We are a fast growing forward thinking law firm and are currently expanding within the local area. Previously we have had several apprentices that have trained with us & job offers were made at the end of the apprenticeship. There are excellent progression and developmental opportunities within the firm. Career prospects are dependent upon your performance during the apprenticeship programme and your successful completion of the College course accompanying this. We would assess throughout the apprenticeship and during the last 8 weeks would discuss career aspects with you.
The Diploma requires learners to successfully achieve a minimum of 45 credits. These credits will be completed, through the achievement of the six mandatory units (21 credits) and the remaining 24 credits will be taken from the optional group. This qualification has been produced to meet the changing requirements of learners and employers as it offers both competency and knowledge.
Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship.
