Description

Working with time served experts, you will be will provided with knowledge and skills in a broad range of engineering competencies and support work within a range of engineering disciplines related to ensuring the correct setting of measurement tools and machinery.

Work would be likely to involve using a variety of hand and machine tools; and tasks could range from making parts to carrying out maintenance work.

You will gain the knowledge and skills to be able to work safely, carry out engineering activities efficiently and effectively and use and communicate technical information.

  • You will need to be very practically minded who enjoys using their hands.
  • You will need to have good mathematical skills
  • You must have GCSE at Grade C or above in English (Language) and Mathematics to be able to apply for this role.
  • You must also achieve a score of at least Level 1 on the college online initial assessments in English, Maths and IT.

You will work towards the Level 2 Engineering Apprenticeship in Performing Engineering Operations.

You will work and train alongside experienced, time-served experts and be fully supported, mentored throughout your apprenticeship.

A full time position may be available upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship.
