Detailed Job Description

Duties will depend on your experience & training -

Deliver tailored activities to pupils on either a one-to-one basis or in small groups

Ensure the pupils that you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task

Support the social and emotional development of pupils, reporting any issues

Manage challenging pupil behaviour

Carry out adminduties, like preparing classroom resources

Help with extracurricular activity (breakfast and after-school clubs, revision sessions or lunch-time duties)

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  • Ideally 5 Grade C or above at GCSE
  • Ideally GCSE’s should include C or above in Maths & English

  • A positive mind‐set and a willingness to continue with your development

  • You need an interest in education, a patient, non-judgemental attitude and a passion to see young people succeed

Future prospects

On completion of the 12 month apprenticeship program, depending on performance, you may be offered a full time position at Magdalen Court School.
