Detailed Job Description

  • Working closely with the Finance team to ensure the smooth operation of all financial matters and to help provide a complete financial service to the agency.
  • Support the Finance team in recording and retrieving the financial detail of the company
  • Acquire financial knowledge and share learnings and experience with the wider agency
  • Build strong relationships with all internal account teams, suppliers and clients
  • Ad hoc support for the Operations team

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE’s including English, Mathematics and Science grades A-C.

Skills required

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Some MS Excel experience (preferred but not essential)

Personal Qualities

  • Willingness to learn
  • Focused and friendly

Future prospects

Opportunities for progression within the company. Progression is clearly mapped out and discussed during quarterly PDP catch ups.

Additional Information

Training provided

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level - This qualification will prepare apprentices for junior and entry level accounting roles. It delivers a solid foundation in finance administration - covering areas such as bookkeeping, basic costing principles and using accounting software.

They will learn finance, accountancy, business and communications skills. There will be other skills they will learn but usually this is set out by the employer but usually include:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Cost and revenue
  • Professional ethics
  • Indirect tax
  • Spreadsheet software
