Detailed Job Description

The apprentice chef will work in the kitchen and be responsible for helping provide all meals for students and staff and anything else required by the catering manager.

The key responsibilities will be

  • 1 Production of meals and following due diligence procedures
  • 2 Cleanliness of kitchen and following health and hygiene legislation
  • 3 Ordering putting away of supplies and stock rotation
  • 4 Serving meals to students and staff and being aware of child protection
  • 5 stock ordering and handling

The day to day contact will be with the catering manager but will also be responsible to the deputy heads and head teacher. Stock ordering and handling and also help to maintain cleanliness and standards set by catering manager
