You'll be visiting City Centre properties and inputting data to produce property reports for Letting Agents/Landlords. Being on your feet all day, walking around the City Centre, between properties and it is a very active and physically demanding role.

Skribes use digital technology & exceptional customer service to make it easier and faster for Letting Agents and Landlords to gain relevant information about their properties and get their properties ready for the next tenant to move in quicker, saving them time and money. We are looking for people to provide our full range of digital reports and conduct property inspections. The Apprentice will need a keen eye for detail to spot things within the properties in order to produce accurate reports. The Apprentice must be able to produce high quality, detailed and accurate reports, which ensure that our clients are better protected against any deposit disputes that may arise following the end of a tenancy. Clients benefit from a same day turnaround and as such you need to be efficient as well as effective and will need strong data inputting skills and a fast typing ability. Knowing what to look for, being consistent, and providing accurate information supported by photographs helps us to provide our clients with the evidence they need to make key decisions impacting on both their revenue and reputation. Building a relationship of trust with our customers through accurate reporting and excellent customer service is critical. Master this and there are real opportunities for career progression. Detailed Job Description

Your day to day duties include:

  • Collecting and returning keys to Lettings Agents
  • Producing detailed property reports by inputting property data into mobile devices containing accurate description and supporting photographs
  • Obtaining all meter readings (gas, electric and water) for the days reports
  • Using own judgement during property inspections
  • Checking own reports for accuracy and quality
  • Completing all reports within agreed timescales
  • Meeting Tenants or Landlords at properties occasionally
  • Resolving any customer service issues or queries

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

· Essential: GCSE English Grade A-B

· Desirable: IT Grade A-C, Business Studies/Admin Qualification

Desirable: Driving License

Skills required

No previous experience necessary as suitable candidate will be fully trained howeverprevious experience in an administrative role or residential lettings/business environmentwould be advantageous.

Additional Information

Training provided

You will work towards 4 mandatory units and choose optional units. These will be selected by both you and the employer making sure the units are relevant to the job you are undertaking. Technical certificate Level 2 in Business Administration and Functional Skills include:-Maths Level 1, English Levels 1 and I.C.T. Level 1.An Employment Rights & Responsibilities workbook will be completed.

30 hours per week Monday – Saturday, days and hours will vary (You are expected to work 40 hours per week during September and any busy periods) Due to the nature of the industry you must be very flexible with working hours as, whilst core working hours are worked 9am - 6pm, during busy periods your hours may be worked within an 8am – 8pm time frame. You may be required to work some bank holidays as bank holidays are classed as normal working days. You have 28 days holiday per year and will receive a day in lieu if you are required to work a bank holiday.
