This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within the education department whilst working towards Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2. Jasiel Study Club caters for children in Reception, KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4. We are Maths, English, Chemistry and Science Tutors in Salford, Moston and Greater Manchester. We offer all children a safe, fun and relaxed environment where they can study, play and learn new skills. We provide one to one tuition using the school curriculum and work with children one to one or in small groups. We help children learn new skills and develop their natural interests. Apart from homework and studying, children are exposed to other activities such as dancing, singing, cooking, storytelling, drama, leading discussions and more.

Detailed Job Description

Main Duties:

  • This is a great opportunity to work in a busy study club helping to support the teachers with children aged 4 – 11 helping with Maths, English, Chemistry, science, reading and writing and other activities in a safe, fun relaxed environment.
  • Care for the safety of the children at all times.
  • Prepare the classroom for lessons ensuring that resources are in place and cleared away at the end of the session as appropriate.
  • If required, assist in the planning of learning activities.
  • You will gain a STLS Level 2 qualification plus valuable hands on experience.

Qualifications required

  • A good level of Maths and English.

Skills required

  • Good positive attitude.
  • Comfortable with children age 4 – 11years.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
