They are recruiting an inspirational nursery apprentice / educator looking for a challenge who will be a part of our new nursery farm school inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to education;We are a 40-place setting and provide child care and early years education from 3 months to 5 years.
We’re looking for an individual who is keen to study towards their Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification whilst working alongside our qualified and motivated team.
Privately owned, set on a working farm we have a large garden, outside play facilities and the opportunity for exploration and discovery in our nearby woods and farmland.
We offer safe and unique indoor and outdoor facilities from our newly refurbished, homely property.
You will assist children to participate in a range of additional activities, including regular trips to the woods, French, art, music, cooking and helping look after our garden and very own animals including chickens, birds, guinea pigs and rabbits!
In this dynamic and highly influential role you will become a ’key person’ by carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families.
You will provide a stimulating, creative and safe environment for the children and promote the learning and development of each child.
We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, commitment, caring nature, fun, team player, energetic, well mannered, open minded with a love for the outdoors.
The main duties include:
•Working as part of a team demonstrating good communication skills;
•Acting as a Key Person to a group of nursery children keeping written and computerised records relating to learning and development;
•Learning about and working with our Reggio Emilia inspired pedagogy
•Working in partnership with parents to inform them of their child’s progress;
•Taking part in training to update skills and attend staff meetings; to safeguard children; ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
•Being engaged in continuous, enhanced and adult directed activities to fulfil the requirements of the EYFS.
